Features and Benefits

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: Built specifically for environments where metal fans fail, a polypropylene centrifugal fan offers long-term resistance to corrosive fumes, vapours, and chemical exposure. This makes them ideal for laboratories, chemical plants, plating shops, and fume extraction systems.
  • Enhanced Workplace Safety: A polypropylene centrifugal fan prevents contamination from rust particles and flaking coatings. Optional explosion-proof motor configurations further support safe operation in volatile or hazardous atmospheres.
  • Lightweight & Easy to Install: Compared to steel alternatives, a polypropylene centrifugal fan is significantly lighter than steel options, making transport, mounting, and maintenance far more efficient. Installers benefit from quicker, safer handling, while end-users enjoy reduced downtime and easier long-term servicing. This compact, cost-effective fan integrates perfectly with Vivid Air’s Fume Cupboards, providing a reliable extraction solution for ducted systems.

Applications

A polypropylene centrifugal fan is designed for demanding environments where corrosive gases, vapours, and chemical contaminants make a traditional metal fan unsuitable. Their chemical resistance, durability, and lightweight construction makes these centrifugal fans highly effective across a wide range of industries and processes.

Common applications include:

  • Chemical processing and fume extraction

  • Laboratories and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems

  • Electroplating, surface treatment and chemical plant exhaust

  • Water and wastewater treatment odour and gas control

  • Pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing

  • Scrubbers, mist elimination and air-quality systems
